Podcast Number Four. Hey Guys, welcome back. How is life? In what ways were you able to use your newfound knowledge? I hope you find new and fulfilling ways to break new boundaries fearlessly. And if you still need to, there are always the next few minutes or days. You fail when you stop trying. So don't stop trying. You are a winner. I know you have it in you. You have organs inside of you that you don't know about. But they exist whether you know about them or not. Anyway, sorry for wandering about. As promised, we will explore mindset. Wow! Mindset. This subject is as deep as it is wide. But thankfully, its essential components are easily identified. Its bark is worse than its bite. Half of the mindsets' power is impossible to change, and the other half is what you have complete control of. I hope I didn't rain on your parade with the first part of my statement because we can use this fact as a beautiful foundation to build from. We can build our whole life, from relationships to life goals, on this foundation. No, it's not fairy dust or magic; it is core values. Core values are personal ethics or ideals that guide you when making decisions, building relationships, and solving problems. Identifying the values that are meaningful to you can help you develop and achieve personal and professional goals. Fish do better in water, as birds do better in flight. If you measure the intelligence of a fish by how it climbs a tree, you will believe that fish is stupid. Did you get an "Aha" moment from that? How many ways have you seen this in your life? Was it a relationship that drove you up the wall? Or a job that you learned to hate? See, you are not a failure; you were not doing you. You were a fish trying to climb a tree. Returning to the water, you will realize how fantastic you are. And you might say that Podcast guy wasn't lying. I am "Fire," aka Cool and capable. Your successes will validate your greatness and inspire you to new conquests. You can be halfway there before you start the race. That's better than a 100% 401k match. Let's say one of your core values is "family first." And one value is "work ethic." And another value is "financial security." You might find yourself dedicating yourself to work loyalty while feeling bad about not being with your family and then feeling wrong about financial security when you take off to spend time with your family. Never fear; there is always a way forward. The way forward will come from, yes, you guessed it, your "aha" moments and your reframing. Good for you. I see you have done your homework. Please do not panic if your "aha" moments don't appear on demand. "Aha" moments come when you least expect them; it is never a case of if; it is always a case of when. I have had my "aha" moments during intense stress and total peace. Yours will come too. Mindset itself has the foundation of feelings. Feelings, unfortunately, can be like a leaf in the wind. The changeable part of our mindset comes from our parents and environment, as do beliefs. Beliefs often come from no credible sources, which can make them a significant detriment to our existence and growth. If a person accepts unsupported things as factual, it opens us to more things unsubstantiated by facts. When we can cater to who we are, we establish an authentic communication line with ourselves. We can serve ourselves at the deepest levels. In this state of being calm and happy, the Cerebrum section of our brain that controls thinking and strategy takes care of us. In a stressful state, the Amygdala section takes over and uses the so-called "fight-or-flight" response. Our feelings can make our choices seem limited and our actions self-destructive. It's like having your best friend, who is drunk, drive you home. You cannot do anything about the condition of your drunken friend, but you can stop them from operating the vehicle. Thank goodness there are ways to combat this, but the core values are an anchor that all of us possess, which explains the importance of tying into your core values. Please don't say I did not warn you. Mindset is as deep as it is wide. Please remember there was a time no one had climbed Mount Everest. Now you can take a vacation to climb up the mountain. Where there is a will, there is a way. If you have the intention, I am happy to introduce you to practices that have and continue to help millions of people to a life they created for themselves. Happiness and Fulfilment aren't for everyone. People want these things, but everyone won't apply the required effort. I am not demeaning anyone. Everything I speak of is from personal experience. From this experience, I looked at my friends and family. I spent years of research. And through trial and error, and formal training, I found procedures that worked for me. People have blessed me and allowed me to be valued, appreciated, and loved. I have been these things to others. But it was not by luck or chance. And who's to say the same things customized to who you are won't work for you? I hope you have enjoyed our time together today. I look forward to chatting with you shortly. Next, we will explore more profound dimensions of mindset. And some ways to break cycles that you may want to reboot. Until next time, Please remember to Love Yourself. You are Not Alone. You are relevant and worthy. How About that?
