Everyone faces that "Now What?" moment. These moments can be crucial and life-changing crossroads.
Some of the forced moments are blind hits, and some are by choice. But either way, we need to act. Without some sort of forethought, our choices can become reactions instead of responses, which usually cause more harm than good.
We will explore helpful and positive means to make it through the "Now What?" moments.

Where do you go from here? Are you feeling unsure and a little lost? Don't feel bad; millions of others feel the same way. You did all that you were told, at least for the most part. It's like eating, resting, and exercising correctly and getting a cancer diagnosis from the doctor. What the (bleep) happened? Before I go any further, I would like to share a concept that has been meaningful to me. I will refrain from giving it a label, but I will call it God, a higher power or a guiding force that provides comfort and direction in times of uncertainty. Or, just out-of-the-blue, excellent insight. On a side note, when I produced media products for clients, people would say I am doing this because God told me. If I were pressed for a response, I would say, "If it works, it is God; if it doesn't, it is you." Understandably, this response was not always warmly received, meaning it was not always met with understanding or acceptance. So, with that said, I will continue. I was taught that all life situations are always split between three occurrences. These three occurrences are (The X factor called God) (The Magic-I call the how in the heck moments), and last but not least (Personal participation.) And like all these times of given information, the next few hours of my life reaffirmed the revelation. Okay, I will not argue semantics on my word choices, but please allow me to explain. The X factor, as I see it, is the absolute unknown. No one, regardless of their knowledge or experience, can predict everything that will happen. You might make a decision that seems random or a mistake, only to find yourself on an unbelievably fantastic path. Conversely, you might have everything meticulously planned, only to see it all fall apart. But in this, we can find hopelessness or hope. Most of us will take this and torture ourselves with negative self-talk, often in the form of "it's not going to work," "I can't do it," or "nothing ever works." Instead of succumbing to hopelessness, I encourage you to use your imagination. Consider the possibility that 'This could be incredible.' There's no telling how wonderful a situation could turn out if you approach it with a positive mindset. Then there is "The Magic." I like to call this the "What the Heck" moment. You have no idea how it happened and cannot repeat the end result to save your life, but it still happened. And when it's excellent, give thanks and enjoy the moment. Additionally, if it's not so great, learn from the situation and remember "bad" times like "good" times don't last. Just hang in there. A change will come. Then there is the "participation." Nothing happens to you without you having something to do with it. Of course, this can be done in many different ways. For instance, if you decide to stand on the highway during rush hour and do nothing, you can be run over and killed. Alternatively, if you cross the road but ignore vehicles, you can still be run over and killed. But either way, you were still participating. I want to add a wonderful caveat: it comes from "Faith and Works." You first move on faith it can work; I don't mean arbitrarily; you must use inductive and deductive reasoning. The more your "works" succeed, the more faith you will have. Then you will do more work. Let's return to my main point. Where do you go from here? The first thing you may want to ask yourself is, where have you been? Did it bring me joy, happiness, and fulfillment? If the answer is yes, do more; if no, stop it. Make your decisions based on what has served you and others well. Selfish people who only serve themselves will fail in the long run. They will end up lonely, bitter, sick, frustrated, hateful, angry, and with many other negative results. And if they have enough power, many other people, even nations, will suffer. We must become aware of our actions and determine a course that can bring true fulfillment to ourselves and others. Any other way will eventually fail. Make plans that directly address issues if food prices go up. Learn to grow some of your food. You can do this even with limited space. If you have become dependent on others, whether it is a corrupt government or a horrible friend, make a realistic plan to separate yourself from your dependence before your world goes up in smoke. If your world is currently going up in smoke, find the closest water source and reset your direction. If you are living on medication, find out what caused this and make a change. Will everything change overnight? It may or may not, regardless of what you think or do. The three influences of "The X-factor," "The Magic," and "Participation" will always be there. Please respect and use them. Well, my dear friends, I wish you peace, health, and guidance. Always remember you are worthy of good things. But you have to believe and work towards them.
