Are we torturing ourselves in our lives because we forgot to live?
Life is the fact that your body is functioning in an environment — equivalent to going on a worldwide cruise — with a pocket full of money, wonder, and curiosity. At the same time, your only concern is the engine's power and design in the ocean liner.
When was the last time you did something for yourself? Not in a selfish, destructive, programmed, or forced manner. Just because the action or actions brought you peace, contentment, and fulfillment.
There is the term: "Take time to smell the roses." Unfortunately, if you have no appreciation for a rose, then the beauty and exquisite nature of a Rose will mean nothing.
I have heard people say, "I'm bored." How can this be true? We have a fantastic body to craft and develop, and an infinite mind. We have creation at our fingertips.
So, why bored? It's because we no longer take the time to live under our own power. A lot of us have become bound by everyone and everything but ourselves. And if that isn't bad enough, the little autonomy we may enjoy, we are hurriedly trying to give that to AI.
How many of your dreams, desires, or simple needs are dashed on the rocks because you were herded into one group or another that usually serves the greater interests of another?
Why are we encouraged to work ourselves to death, while the power that brainwashes us to do it spends months in a year on lavish vacations and golf courses, and having fun? If working all the time was so great, why don't they do it? And if they do work most of the time, why do they need drugs to maintain?
There is something very wrong. "The Emperor really has no clothes." If this were the "right" way, why so much misery, poverty, war, unhappiness, suicide, shootings, all from an artificially constructed existence that we are supposed to believe is the only way to be?
If I turn you into an underpaid, underappreciated worker and then tell you to be happy, what kind of ridiculousness is that? And obviously, you have to destroy a person's spirit and mental awareness for them to accept it.
If you give all your time and energy to a person who doesn't value you, how does that make sense?
And all you have to do is look around to see the terrible effects of these circumstances. Have you noticed that the term "terrorist," is usually given to people who fight against oppression, theft, abuse, inequality, and occupation?
What right does the thief in your house have to call you a terrorist, because you are protecting your loved ones and yourself? And call you unstable, or a destabilizing influence, because you fight against their madness. Yes, my friends, there is something really wrong.
So, what is it? We have forgotten to live. Is it our fault? The people who inflict evil and hardship were programmed to act this way. Just like the oppressed were programmed to accept it. We no longer bothered about ourselves and others.
A tree was no longer a neighbor, which gave you clean air to breathe; it was just a possible chair, door, or whatever. The same thing became of your fellow humans. People became objects to be exploited, managed, consumed, and disregarded.
Our elders are no longer revered for their experience and wisdom. Now, elders are considered a burden on society, nothing, and treated as such. Have you ever stopped to consider the evil core of who created this system? And what is wrong with us for accepting it?
Why do we not get together to drive the thief out of our neighborhood, instead of only being concerned when the thief is in our home?
We are distracted by the shiny things and misinformation. We have willingly traded in trinkets and gadgets for our humanity. And the results are not pretty; in fact, they are ugly, evil, and mad.
It is no wonder that we take our lives and others, without thought. When murder, genocide, starvation, and hate towards others become business as usual, what do you think the fate of the group will be?
And will we cry when our hands are removed from the pockets of another? Will we lament because when we had the power to help make a difference, we sat idly by, and now the sky is falling?
The point is to live, not be content with life. Life is full of choices; a person's heart determines them, but some are made without conscious consideration. Who you act like brings situations to you. A different mindset automatically sets you on a different path. Additionally, the path may not change immediately, but how you move and act on that path will.
Make a conscious effort, create a plan, utilize the SMART; "SMART is an acronym for goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. This framework provides a method for setting clear, actionable, and trackable objectives to increase the likelihood of success in various contexts, from personal projects to professional and team-based work."
Specific
What it means: A clear and well-defined goal that answers the who, what, why, when, where, and how questions.
Example: Instead of "increase sales," a specific goal is "Increase sales by 10% in Q3 by implementing a new client outreach strategy".
Measurable
What it means: The goal must have quantifiable criteria to track progress and determine if it has been met.
Example: The goal "increase sales by 10%" provides a clear, measurable target. Another example is "go to the gym three days a week for one hour each day".
Achievable
What it means: The goal is realistic and attainable, considering the available resources, skills, and time.
Example: An achievable goal is to train for and complete a 5K race in two months, rather than a marathon in one month, if you are a beginner.
Relevant
What it means: The goal is meaningful, aligns with your overall objectives or values, and is worthwhile to pursue.
Example: If your long-term goal is to become a nurse, taking an introductory business course is less relevant than taking a prerequisite human anatomy course.
Time-bound
What it means: The goal has a specific deadline to create a sense of urgency and help with planning and prioritization.
Example: "I will lose 10 pounds over the next three months" has a clear timeframe.
Use the seven levels of why to find out your whys. Then find ways to move in resonance with goodness within. Ask yourself about the behaviours you impose on others that you would not accept.
Find a positive path to fulfillment that serves both yourself and humanity.
Life can be beautiful when it is lived. Unfortunately, a life not lived becomes a living hell.
And that hell is happy to destroy you and everything you involve yourself with.
Be a light. Well, my dear friends, until next time. I wish you peace, love, health, and happiness.
Don't do anything to anyone you don't want done to you.
How about that?
