What "Devil" hides in the AI, data details? I get multiple uses out of plastic bags and shipping materials I send or receive.
First of all, when I throw them away, I need them later. But more importantly, when I consider the destruction of the planet, the poisoning of workers, and the energy and effort required to produce plastic, reuse is the only sensible alternative.
At this point, you may be wondering what the heck I'm on about. AI, plastic bags, Devils?
Okay, I understand. So, let's get to it.
The powers that be are currently stealing land and, without legal and moral approval, are building data sites for AI. Okay, so what, you may ask.
I am sure you own a computer or phone. Have you noticed the heat these devices generate? Anyone who knows about Bitcoin mining knows the main problems are heat and energy consumption.
Now multiply that by millions, and add that quality drinking water is used for cooling the onsite turbines, and you have a recipe for human extinction. But wait, there's more, the pollutants.
"Turbines at data centers produce pollutants including nitrogen oxides, which cause smog and can worsen respiratory issues, and hazardous air pollutants like formaldehyde, benzene, and fine particulate matter (PM2.5), which are linked to cancer and other serious health problems. When burning natural gas, these turbines also release greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change."
Nitrogen oxides:
(NOxcap N cap O sub x
πππ₯) are a group of gases containing nitrogen and oxygen, with the most significant being nitric oxide (NOcap N cap Oππ) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2cap N cap O sub 2ππ2). These toxins are emitted by sources such as vehicle exhaust, power plants, and industrial processes.
NOx NOx πππ₯ contributes to air pollution, including smog and acid rain, and can harm respiratory health.Β
Formaldehyde:
(CH2Ocap C cap H sub 2 cap OπΆπ»2π) It is a colorless gas with a pungent odor used in the manufacture of resins, preservatives, and other products, though it can be irritating and is a known carcinogen. Common uses include making insulation, plywood, and glues, as well as embalming fluids and disinfectants. Health effects of exposure range from eye and throat irritation with short-term exposure to an increased risk of certain cancers, like myeloid leukemia and nasopharyngeal cancer, with long-term exposure.Β
Benzene:
(C6H6cap C sub 6 cap H sub 6 πΆ6π»6) It is an aromatic hydrocarbon with a ring structure that is naturally found in volcanoes and forest fires, but is also a key industrial chemical used to make plastics, resins, synthetic fibers, and detergents. It is also a known human carcinogen found in gasoline, cigarette smoke, and some glues and paints, with exposure linked to serious health problems like leukemia.Β
As we look at modern history, illnesses and diseases became rampant from the onset of the Industrial Revolution.
The idea that all great technology comes with a curse is a recurring theme in quotes and essays. Alan Moore states, "Technology is always a two-edged sword. It will bring in many benefits, but also many disasters," while another perspective suggests, "Technology is a curse if it is handled by the lunatics, but it is a boon if it is handled by the wise,"
We can see from killing people with high-tech killing devices to the poisoning of everything on planet earth, the heart and mental well-being of the controllers of tech.
But, it's okay, right? Because AI helps you with Amazon orders, what to watch on Netflix, who your perfect match is, and everything else. You can open your phone with your face and fingerprint, but who keeps that data?
And what nefarious and criminal activity will it be used for?
We always have a choice. Will you choose to enjoy and support a natural life, in which you live in accordance with peace, health, happiness, and fulfillment, at no one's expense?
Or will we continue down the path of incremental destruction? Don't listen to the rubbish about going to another planet; the same people will screw that up, too.
The planet belongs to no one. It was here before we got here and will be here long after we are gone. But it is your home.
We need to quit "pooping" where we eat. We are fast living in a heap of poop. It stinks, and it is not necessary.
Never give up against wrong. Never lose hope against tyranny, and don't abandon the health of our home, for a few coins and conveniences.
Selling your soul for "the thirteen peices of silver," is never worth it.
Be good to yourself, think before you act, and never do anything to someone you don't want done to you. Take care and stay aware. The life you save may be your own.
Peace and Love, my dear friends.
How about that?
