Have you ever noticed that spectacular occurrences and feats of wonderment from an individual always come from an inner fire for an outer objective? Women have lifted cars off of their children. People held in bondage have endured unspeakable hardships because of the belief in a better life. Prisoners of a War against them have battled imprisonment and kept their heads by believing it was not the end. So many individuals in the fight for justice and human rights have sacrificed everything in the pursuit of a desire to have a better world for all. And when individuals strive for lofty heights for their self-centered gains, they eventually meet a terrible demise. Is the enrichment of the human collective a coincidence or the true nature of humanity? The data suggests that it is humanity's true intrinsic nature. Some will say every man/woman for themselves. And if someone is not strong, let them perish by the wayside. Or that the weak should be victimized by the strong because they are worthless. But every system and person that adopts this philosophy fails miserably in the long term. The cycles of the rise and fall of nation-states reflect the same. Every great nation starts from an oppressed and disenfranchised people. The desire for liberty and freedom fuels heroism for freedom. Then, great leaders are temporarily born. Then complacency and a false sense of grandeur set in, quickly followed by disdain and entitlement. Its desire for freedom and justice becomes a luxury for the chosen few. Then, like Marie Antionette stated when informed that her subjects were starving and did not have bread, She replied, "Then let them eat cake." The French Revolution was fueled by the entitlement of people who forgot their natural leadership role. Al Capone once said he would rather be feared than loved, but the love of the people will shelter you against any invader. Politicians thrive or fall per the love of the people. We as individuals thrive or fail by the same set of rules. Of course, you will only please some. And your vibe will be your tribe. Humanity has not reached that pinnacle of enlightenment, and authentic understanding and implementation are thousands of years away. Or the answers are over the next horizon. But just like a multiple-choice test or examination. We may not know the answer, but we most certainly know what the answer is not. Regardless, the cycles are clearly visible in the annals of modern history. Can we continue on an ever-repeating circular track with the belief that we will arrive at a different location this time? Have you noticed that the slightest deviation in cyclical operations provides immense benefits? I remember my girlfriend taking a slightly different route to avoid traffic when we were a few miles from home. Of course, my first reaction was to say, "Where are you going?" She answered, "This way." That was my cue to remain quiet. I trusted her as a person. I soon realized the improvement in her revised route. We missed the traffic, and I noticed a gas/petrol station with cheaper fuel. I used that same route many times. The new procedure was helpful in the mornings and evenings. I laughed to myself when I would listen to my associates with a major issue with their wives, husbands, friends, and family, who alluded to a different action plan. I wonder how many opportunities to improve their lives and relationships were sacrificed during those encounters. I remember an elder once saying, "How do You Know?" This statement is straightforward, but I asked that in my modified version. I have asked many people who have sought my counsel. If you don't know what the answer is, how do you know what the answer isn't? Of course, this is not to consider the subline and ridiculous. Setting your house ablaze to eliminate a cockroach is not a viable alternative. In our lives, we make choices as we commit to positive and negative objectives. If we commit to greatness, that is, for the greater good, we will break the never-ending cycles of rising and falling. That has long since plagued humanity. Of course, I do not profess to have all the answers. But I, like Aristotle, would invite you into the debate. And I would also ask you, as I was once asked, "How do you know?" Because if you don't know what the answer is. How do you know what the answer isn't? So my friends, until next time. Please remember to Love Yourself. You are Not Alone. You are relevant and worthy. How About that?
